Observer88 is a web directory — a classified register of operational sites maintained to document what is out there, organised so it can be found.
The archive spans 22 subject sections, from health and legal services through to travel operators, financial platforms, and technology providers. Each entry has been filed after basic verification that the site is live and occupies a discernible subject area. Observer88 does not review, rank, or recommend the sites it catalogs — the register is a neutral record, not a curated shortlist.
The Observer88 index currently holds 858 entries, drawn from across the global web. Entries originate from multiple countries and reflect the full range of commercial and informational activity documented during the cataloguing process. Some sections are densely populated; others are sparse, reflecting the uneven distribution of web operators across subject areas.
Submissions to Observer88 are open. Site owners whose sites are active and fit within one of the 22 classified sections may file a listing through the Add a Site process. The review is straightforward: the site must be operational and appropriately placed within one of the existing sections. There are no fees associated with submitting or listing a site.
The archive is updated on a rolling basis. New entries are added as submissions are reviewed and verified. Observer88 does not guarantee the continued accuracy of any listing — the web changes, and sites that were active at the time of filing may move, close, or change scope. The register reflects the state of the catalogued web at the time each entry was filed.
